A café in an abandoned school where you can taste home-roasted coffees brewed with spring water, and pizzas kneaded by hand
The former Deai Elementary School, located in Iya, an isolated area in the Shikoku mountains, has been reborn as a comfortable café. The old classrooms have been regenerated to become a café space, and visitors can enjoy home-roasted coffee brewed with spring-water, and pizza made with hand-kneaded dough and plenty of local ingredients. It’s not just the café space that’s been remodeled, either; a wooden deck has been constructed in the open courtyard, and the library has been reconstructed to become a kids’ room. The building also functions as a hostel. Experience something extraordinary in this café surrounded by the natural world of Iya.(This information is as of July 2018)

The most popular drink is the Haretoke Coffee, an iced café au lait, at 648 yen. Berry and Chocolate Mousse Cake: 540 yen. There are various types of cake available depending on the day.
