Look out across the endless blue expanse of sea and sky and the numerous beautiful islands dotting the Seto Inland Sea while soaking slowly in a natural outdoor hot spring bath. Then watch from the bath as the evening sun sinks down into the sea amongst the islands…. Being able to enjoy such an extraordinary and luxurious time makes “Umi no Yadori”, located on the northern tip of Shikoku, a popular yet hidden gem. Since it is sited on a high promontory surrounded by the sea on three sides, you can gaze out across a panoramic view that includes the second largest island of the Seto Island Sea, Shodoshima, and the waters of Ushimado, referred to as the Mediterranean Sea of Japan.
If you would just like to enjoy a casual hot spring bath the day-trip plan that includes lunch (11am to 15pm, reservation required), is a recommended option. After enjoying a soak in the spacious main baths and the outdoor bath with its sea views, blissfully indulge in a sumptuous meal of fresh seafood! (This information is as of November 2017)
