Japan’s Chugoku region consists of five prefectures: Hiroshima, Okayama, Yamaguchi, Tottori and Shimane.
Each prefecture has fantastic tourist attractions, including Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage site, Okayama Korakuen, one of the country’s three most renowned Japanese gardens, the Tottori sand dunes, where you can paraglide while looking out across the Sea of Japan, and many more.
