Really savor soba or snacks while you indulge in some sake – even people who enjoy being connoisseurs can relax and have fun in Kururi.
This small soba shop run by a husband and wife has a refined expanse of Japanese-style space, with a homey atmosphere so that even solo visitors can drop in without hesitation. Two kinds of homemade soba are available here for 800 yen each: hosogiri soba, and arabiki soba. The sharp broth, with a Kansai-style elegance drawn from honkarebushi (high quality karebushi), enhances the taste of the soba. The sake is dry, carefully selected to complement the snacks and soba. Carefully created a la carte dishes are also available, including sobagaki, with an irresistible chewy texture, and kamowan (duck soup), with succulent duck and fragrant leek cooked in the duck juices. Enjoy pairing these with some sake, and slurp down a bundle of soba noodles.(This information is as of April 2018)
