Kitahama Alley is a complex of renovated warehouses located along the quiet coast, apart from the shopping streets of central Takamatsu City. The café known as umie has been a local favorite for close to 20 years, and has garnered attention for being a place of culture that regularly holds live performances, art events, and more.
With its assortment of antique furniture, decorations, books, and dried plants, the café has unique interior arrangements at every seat. While it is quite polished, the atmosphere fills you with nostalgia. There is a sweeping view of the Setouchi Inland Sea from the window seats during the day, while the night transforms the sea into a quiet mood with the lights of the passing ships suspended in the window. Whenever you come, you can relax and comfortably forget the passing of time.
