The famous Tsuke-bukkake udon featuring Kagawa branded ingredients
A self-service udon shop that has stood at the entrance to Takamatsu’s Hyogomachi shopping arcade for about 30 years. The popular “Olive beef tsuke-bukkake” is a special bowl of local wagyu beef raised on olives and topped with an “olive egg”. The dish is spiced up by the owner’s made yuzu kosho paste. First dip your udon in the broth and taste, then add the egg to the noodles and on into the broth. Finally, pour the broth onto the noodles and enjoy the changing flavor as you mix them. Other regional specialties are Kagawa’s famed chicken on the bone (Honetsukidori) and soy sauce beans. Different prices between day and night for all dishes and drinks (6 p.m. onwards). This may be a self-serving joint but don’t worry, there are instructions in English!(This information is as of September 2019)
