After enjoying a morning stroll around Kurashiki, a meal at Higashida makes an ideal breakfast. Their breakfasts consist of rice, soup, and three dishes, a typical type of meal eaten in Japanese households and one that reminds Japanese people of the breakfasts they ate as children. The rice, soup, and three dishes made using local seasonal ingredients create a beautiful harmonious whole when arranged on the table.
Higashida is located in the Bios Arcade on the way from JR Kurashiki Station to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. The shop, which at night concentrates on sushi, fish dishes, and alcohol, has a cozy homelike atmosphere. It has been cherished by locals ever since opening roughly 30 years ago.
